1947'de Willisau / İsviçre'de doğdu. Lucerne Sanat Okulu'nda grafik tasarım okudu. 1973'ten beri kendi grafik tasarım stüdyosunda. (1966'dan beri) caz konserlerinin organizatörü ve evinde bulunan şehir Willisau'da yıllık caz festivali (1975-2009).
1966 yılından beri yaşadığı yer olan Willisau’da caz konserlerinin ve yıllık festivalin organizatörüdür.
Tasarımları ve afişleri birçok ulusal ve uluslararası ödül almıştır.
Eserleri bir çok ülkede sergilendir. Bunlardan bazıları; New York Modern Sanat Müzesi, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Tasarım Müzesi New York, Hamburg Endüstriyel Sanatlar Müzesi, Varşova'daki Wilanow Poster Müzesi, Ogaki Poster Müzesi, Essen Poster Müzesi, Paris'teki Bibliothèque Nationale, Amsterdam'daki Stedelijk Müzesi. 1998'de Stuttgart / Almanya Devlet Güzel Sanatlar Akademisi'nde profesör olarak çalıştı ve orada 2013 yılına kadar ders verdi.
Dünya çapında sergiler: Tokyo, Beijng, Hangzhou, Moskova, Varşova, Berlin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Paris, Pau, Marsilya, Lizbon, Zürih, Basel, Cenevre, Lucerne, Karakas, Meksika ve diğer pek çok yer.
1989'dan beri AGI (Uluslararası İttifak Grafiği) üyesidir.

born in Willisau/Switzerland in 1947. Studied graphic design at the Art School of Lucerne. Own graphic design studio since 1973. Organizer of jazz concerts (since 1966) and an annual jazz festival (1975-2009) in his home town Willisau.
Many national and international design and poster awards.
His works are in the permanent collections such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York,
Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum New York, the Hamburg Industrial Arts Museum, the Wilanow Poster Museum in Warsaw, the Ogaki Poster Museum, the Essen Poster Museum, the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam among others. Became 1998 a professor at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart/Germany, where he teached until 2013.<7p>
Exhibitions worldwide: Tokyo, Beijng, Hangzhou, Moscow, Warsaw, Berlin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Paris, Pau, Marseille, Lisbon, Zurich, Basel, Geneva, Lucerne, Caracas, Mexico, and many other places.
He is a member of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale) since 1989.
